Peace, Love & The George Bush Library Easter Egg Hunt

This morning Mommy, Daddy and I went to the George Bush Library for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. The festivities got off to a great start when the Easter Bunny rode up on the ladder truck! Their were tons of people at the library including some friends of mine from the fire department. I don't remember much about Easter last year so it was fun to run around with other kids my age and collect eggs, play games, and get to see the Easter Bunny.

Me & my bumblebee basket waiting with the other kids & their parents at the 0-3 year old field.

Daddy & me waiting

The 0-3 month field before the Easter Egg Hunt started.

Me picking up eggs while Daddy looks on.

Kevin & his son Ty. Kevins works with Daddy at the fire department.

Mommy showing me that there are prizes inside the eggs I picked up.

Post Easter Egg Hunt smiles.

Daddy showing me how to open the eggs I found.

Getting a ride on Daddy's shoulders.

Taking pictures in the flowers directly in front of George Bush Library - silly smiles.

Climbing on an artists rendition of the Berlin Wall (I really just wanted to see a horsey up close).

Saying & signing horsey.

Sneaking around the sculpture (notice Ty sitting on the barrier in the background).

Ty coming over to shake my hand.

I had never shook anyones hand before so I wasn't really sure what to do, so we ended up with a kind of cross between a high five and holding hands.

Me following after Ty as he went off to explore.

Off exploring on my own again.

Stopping to smell a flower in the George Bush Library Garden.

Me & my bumblebee basket pondering where more eggs might be hidden.

Me taking a different path through the gardens than my parents.

Stopping on the bridge in the gardens to check for fishies.

Climbing up on the bridge for a better look around.

Heading down the path to explore.

Stopping to tell Mommy & Daddy to hurry up.

Taking a rest on a park bench just down from the gravesite of the Bush's daughter.

Running to give Daddy a hug (the gravesite for the Bush's to the left of the picture).

Still running to Daddy...

Super big hug for Daddy!

Heading back down the path towards the truck with Mommy.

After the George Bush Library we headed home for some lunch, a nap and then later ventured out to run some errands.

After our errands, Daddy & I colored on the floor while Mommy made dinner. It's hard to tell but in the picture I am trying to trace Izzy's paw.

Back to coloring on my own.

Daddy & his "It's been one of those days" looks. Don't worry the diaper was clean!

Today was super busy but totally fantastic. I really enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt & can't wait for tomorrows, now that I know whats going on and what I'm supposed to do. Bring on the eggs!

Peace, love & the George Bush Library Easter Egg Hunt,
Bailey
