This morning begun our exploration of the towns around Canyon Lake. Up until this point we have stayed pretty close to home but today we ventured out to explore some of the sights of New Braunfels and see what all the town has to offer.
We started off the morning by inventing a new game that Daddy and I call "fishing for Bailey's", if you watch the video you'll understand why! Then, before we could leave for the Children's Museum, we had to feed our friends the deer some corn. We spent a couple of hours at the Children's Museum and then headed to Landa Park to eat the lunch we packed and ride the mini train that runs through the park. From there we headed back to Canyon Lake to investigate the Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country. Not only did they have some really cool dinosaur tracks but they also had a room dedicated to the building of Canyon Dam, which was really interesting to Daddy, and another room that was all about the settlers and Native Americans, which Mommy & I really liked. After the Heritage Museum, we headed to a feed store to get something other than corn to feed the deer (its like chocolate for humans, tastes good but not much nutrition) and then Mommy, Daddy and I decided to go for a swim in Canyon Lake.
Fishing for Bailey's... our new game.
Daddy feeding two bucks (male deer) out of one hand!
Me exploring the cabinets in our kitchen at the lodge.
Me & Daddy outside the Children's Musuem in New Braunfels.
Me driving the ambulance while Daddy rides shotgun.
Me checking Daddy out at the grocery store.
Me filling my basket with all the fruits & vegetables I could find.
After our swim I wanted to put on my hula skirt that came with one of my bathing suits and figured that since I was dressed, I would demonstrate my best hula dance. I think that I may need to get some lessons for Aunt Jocelin & McKenzie!
Peace, love & New Braunfels,
Bailey
