Peace, Love & Roadtrip

Mommy, Daddy and I took a little trip this past weekend to the great big city of Dallas. It's been a long time since we've been on a long road trip like this (I was four months old last time) but I did really well. It helped that Mommy and Daddy took breaks when I wasn't sleeping. Plus they let me help out with the driving... just kidding!

This was our first pit stop on the way to Dallas... Centerville, Tx. Notice that I'm already perfecting my driving technique. 14 months going on 16!

This is our second pit stop on the way up... the VFW in Ennis, Tx. I got out and wanted to run. There were lots of rocks to pick up and carry around. Mommy and I even got in a quick game of hide and go seek! Mommy needs to find better hiding places cause I always find her.

From here we went and met up with Aunt Erin and waited for Uncle Ben to get home from work. After a quick set of hello's Mommy, Daddy and I set out for Sheree and Jeff's for dinner.

At Sheree and Jeff's I met their three puppies - Samson, Heidy and Harley. Harley was definitely my type of dog - small and laid back. Samson at 100 lbs was a bundle of energy and was a little scary until I got used to him. He loved giving me kisses though so he's fine in my book. I took a little break from playing with the puppies to show off my dancing skills along with my love of remote controls!

This is a picture of me, Sheree and Jeff (I look a little out of it not only because it was late but because Mommy took my remote away and I wanted it back). We were very lucky that our friends opened their home to us and Sheree even made us a delicious home cooked meal with handmade baked meatballs... YUMMY!!

After sleeping in on Sunday Mommy, Daddy and I met Aunt Erin and Uncle Ben for a late breakfast and then headed to the Arlington Convention Center for a bridal show. We watched the fashion show (although I got more attention than the girls on stage) and checked out the booths for ideas as well as registry information. It was a fun afternoon followed by a long drive home to College Station.
This week Mommy and Daddy have been working long hours at the Challenge Course so I've been staying with Grandma and Granddaddy Doc. I've been having a great time but I've been a little under the weather. I started feeling a little off last week but the doctor told Mommy that it was probably just a virus last Friday. Turns out that doctor was wrong and the physicians assistant that I saw today diagnosed me with tonsilitus. Now that I have medicine I'm hoping I'll be back to full throttle by Friday afternoon when I get to come home from Camp Granddaddy! I miss running around terrorizing my puppies, what can I say!
Peace, love & roadtrip,
Bailey
