Peace, Love & A New Raincoat

Today I got a chance to try out my new raincoat and run around in the rain. I had a blast and my jacket did a great job at keeping me dry! Since I've never had a rain jacket Mommy had to take pictures when I put it on for the first time. The arms are still a little long but its a 3T so I have some time to grow into it.

I'm ready to puddle jump whenever you are so the next time it rains come on by and we will have a grand time out in the cul-de-sac.

Peace, Love & Bailey the Builder

The weather has been absolutely beautiful lately so Daddy and I have been working on lots of odds & ends work around the house. Expecting another gorgeous day Daddy and I got prepared early this morning. After helping me to get dressed in my overalls, Daddy helped me to gather all the tools I would need for the day including a screwdriver, pencil, hammer and measuring tape.

Suddenly my overalls seem a little heavier...

Dreaming of the projects that we will accomplish today.

One last piece to the outfit, Daddy's hat (he left it on the counter so I went and got it and put it on... its my mini-Daddy impression).

"Do we need to hammer something over here?"

"Can I have some paper to draw up my project plans."

Daddy & I had a ton of fun today working out in the yard. We dug out some grass, moved a sprinkler head and then built a box to hold some dirt to level out the ground under my playhouse. Mommy and Daddy bought pavers this past weekend to go on top of the dirt so that I would have a nice level place that didn't need to be mowed ever week. It looks fantastic and I'm so glad that Daddy let me help him make it... its official, I have the coolest Daddy ever!

Peace, Love & Sock Puppets

This past Christmas my Uncle Brett got me two sock puppets from a cute little store he found in New York. Up until this point I haven't done much playing with them on my own but today I finally figured it out what was going on and asked Mommy to put them on my hand. Here are some moments from my first attempt at sock puppetry.

Playing with Grandma & my puppets wasn't enough so I brought them out again after my bath. This of course brought out the camera and super big smiles.

Aren't we cute... I really love my little pink rabbit (the ears and teeth are uber fun to play with).

Mommy was trying to take a picture of me making the puppets talk to each other but everytime she tried to take a picture I put them down and starting posing for the picture.

After a while I gave Mommy the purple puppet while I kept the pink rabbitt puppet for myself (I needed the other hand to hold my milk). I had lots of fun talking with the puppet and then making my puppet talk back or just talking back myself.

I know that I sent my Uncle Brett a thank you card for the uber cool sock puppets there is no way I could have known at Christmas exactly how many hours of entertainment they would provide! Anyways I wanted to do an entry about my puppets so Uncle Brett could see how much I love them and that I play with them now more than ever.

Peace, Love & A Visit From Friends

Today I got an extra special surprise when my Mommy's friend, Aunt Gail and her boyfriend Robert, came to visit. This was the first time for me to meet Aunt Gail (she saw me two days before I was born) and it was the first time for Robert to meet Mommy & Daddy. It was a pretty big day, Mommy & Daddy even cleaned the house for it!

Since Robert has his private pilots license, he & Aunt Gail flew down from Waco for the afternoon. Although I was a little hesitant when we first picked them up from the airport I warmed as soon as Robert starting making goofy faces at me. It was no time before I showing them my toys in the backyard & I ultimately even played a game of catch with Robert. Mommy has told me all about Aunt Gail's pets (she rescued a bunch of orphaned and/or injured animals from the ranch she & Mommy used to work at) and I was super excited when Aunt Gail gave me a stuffed turtle to symbolize yet another one of her menagerie of animals (Mommy has already gotten me a goat and a lamb).

Although their visit wasn't all that long I can't wait to see them again. Mommy & Daddy said we are going to visit them in Waco this summer so I can meet all of Aunt Gail's animals and Robert & Daddy can do some fly fishing.

It didn't occur to Mommy during the visit that she should take a picture of me and Aunt Gail & Robert or even herself & Gail so these pics are all I have to commemorate the day. Good thing is we will be able to take pics when we see them this summer. Hopefully Mommy won't forget again... although to date there don't seem to be any pictures of my Mommy and Aunt Gail, how'd they manage that?

Peace, Love & A Petzel Helmet

I'm sure for many of you it is no surprise to see me in a helmet, considering my parents love of the Challenge Course, but today is different because I picked Mommy's helmet up off of a pile of stuff and put it on myself! Daddy helped a little by snapping the clasp under my chin but the rest of it was all me. Here are some pictures that Mommy took to commemorate the event.

I hope you enjoyed this entry since it kinda shows some of the "developmental gains" I've made lately (as Mommy puts it). My parents are in a constant state of amazement on how quickly I pick things up... they are always asking each other "How did she know to do that? I only did it once." Aren't they silly!

Peace, Love & Jeannie & Brian's Wedding

Today we went to Frenstat, TX to see cousin Jeannie marry her fiance Brian. I had a super time getting to see the whole family and eating some super delicious bar-b-que. Mommy was in the house party so after the ceremony I mostly hung out with Busia & the rest of the family. I spent some time with Daddy but after a while he went to hang out with Mommy so I played with everyone else. Here are some of the pics that Dza Dza took at the wedding - apparently Mommy was so concerned with doing her duties that she didn't think to take any pictures of the day - silly Mommy!

Mommy, Daddy & I had a great time at the wedding and reception and are super excited to see how happy Jeannie & Brian looked. I know that today is just the beginning of a long and happy marriage. Next up for the happy couple is a week long honeymoon in Virgin Gorda!

Peace, Love & Daddy's Girl

Wanted to take a quick second to share some pics of me & my Daddy. Since Mommy loves playing the role of photographer there are tons of pictures of the two of us.
