Peace, Love & Surgery

Just wanted to drop everyone a quick note and mention that I might not catch up quite as quickly as I thought. I just found out that my Mommy is going in for surgery this evening to hopefully fix a herniated disc in her back. Since she is my typist as well as my layout artist my blogging will be delayed until she is back on her feet. Hopefully that will be soon, which is what the doctors have predicted. They said my Mommy is one tough cookie and that this surgery will be a breeze. In any case I would appreciate your prayers for the doctors preforming the surgery as well as for a speedy recovery for Mommy and a reduction in the pain she's in. Thanks!

Peace, love & surgery,
Bailey

Peace, Love & Laundry Baskets

My love affair with laundry baskets has been long documented, if you can say that since I'm only 17 months old! I used to need assistance getting into and out of the basket but while Mommy was doing laundry the other Monday I realized that I was big enough to throw my leg over and get in on my own. When Mommy turned around I was sitting in the basket she had just emptied, she dutifully drug me into the kitchen for Daddy to spin me all around.

Spin me around, spin me around!

I love a good ride in the laundry basket!

Do it again, Daddy!

I'm getting close to being caught up so hang in there, I'm within one week of where I should be! I'm planning on being all caught up by this time next week because that's when Mommy and Daddy are heading to Dallas to help Aunt Erin & Uncle Ben get ready for their wedding. I'm going up for the ceremony but since Mommy is in the wedding they are going up early & I'm going to stay with Grandma & Granddaddy for a couple days. Please say a little prayer that my Mommy can keep it together, we've never been separated for that long!

Peace, love & laundry baskets,
Bailey

Peace, Love & Hanbok

About six months back my Grandma had to go to Korea for work and when she came home she brought me this beautiful dress, called a Hanbok. At the time it was a little bit big but with Uncle Brett in town we thought we would give it a try and see if it fit. I mean if you are going to take one set of pictures why not take several sets!

Look at the beautiful colors!

A full size view of my hanbok

I was tired of being inside with it being so beautiful outside so I took my hanbok outside along with my trusty remote control

The backside of my hanbok - didn't Grandma pick one with beautiful colors!

I hope that y'all enjoyed the beautiful pictures. On a side note, my Mommy wanted to let everyone know of a huge milestone in my development. I told her "I love you" yesterday for the first time!

Peace, love & hanbok,
Bailey

Peace, Love & Family Pictures

In preparation for the Christmas card season we took some photos the other day - had to take advantage of the fact that Uncle Brett had come to visit. You have to take note of the t-shirts, Uncle Brett got them for us in Vietnam (I think). On the front they say "SAME SAME" (everyone's shirt but mine) and on the back they say "but different" (my shirt). From what Uncle Brett said, this is a joke of sorts overthere because when you go to a market and see a Puma or Nike brand and you ask the owner if it is the REAL Nike or Puma or whatever, they say "Same Same, but different". Uncle Brett had the idea of us taking our Christmas photo in the shirt and I got the distinction of being "but different"!

Our family photos in front of Grandma & Granddaddy's house turned out fantastic & I hope you like the preview. Before I bid adieu I have to say thanks to Uncle Brett for the cool shirts, Granddaddy & I wear ours regularly!

Peace, Love & The Pumpkin Patch

I know that I am still running very far behind. Mommy got sick this past weekend which has set us back a little further. I have the pictures downloaded, tons of fun stories to tell and Mommy is back to full speed so hopefully this week we can catch up with present day pictures and stories! With that seqway... on to the pictures!

This year we were a little late getting to the pumpkin patch at the Farm Patch. Last year we started a tradition going to the pumpkin patch and maze with our friend Mason and his mother, this year we had another friend join us, Logan - Mason's baby brother. Here are the pictures from our second annual trip to the pumpkin patch.

Mason got changed into his costume first so he grabbed Bailey's hand and headed off for the maze while the mommy's got Logan dressed.

Daddy & Mason - I know its not really a costume for my Daddy but he didn't want Mason to be the only fire fighter at the pumpkin patch (they always travel in numbers).

My Daddy & baby Logan - aren't they cute!

I had a great time at the pumpkin patch with Mason & Logan - this is definitely a tradition that I hope can continue for years to come. I hope that y'all enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed getting dressed up and posing for them!

Bailey

Peace, Love & Studio One

Long before I was born my Mommy and Daddy met this great photographer, Darrin Hill. He did their engagement portraits in Research Park, their bridal portraits on Kyle Field as well as recording their wedding. For my first birthday my Mommy made an appointment to get some pictures of me as well as the four generations that were present - my GiGi (my great grandma), my Grandma, my Mommy & Me. Mommy & Daddy hadn't really thought about getting pictures again, especially for something like Halloween but Studio One (Darrin's photography studio) was running a great package deal & my parents couldn't resist! Thankfully, Darrin was nice enough to let us purchase a pic to go on my blog! Here is our family's favorite photo from our Halloween shoot.

Hope y'all enjoy the photo as much as we do!

Peace, Love & Mommy's Playdate

I'm sorry to say that it has been ages since I've been able to get my Mommy to a computer -regardless of what she says her life does not only revolve around me! We have had a busy couple of weeks and although I could look at the calendar and give you the play by play, that would be a bit boring. So instead I'll do a couple of posts which cover the highlights of the last three weeks.

First off is Mommy's playdate with Aunt Katie. Mommy and Aunt Katie went and got pedicures, went to lunch and did some shopping. They had a great time but couldn't resist playing with me when they got home.

Mommy, Me & Aunt Katie

Me atop my Adventure Climbing set with Daddy pointing the way down!

Not sure Daddy meant for me to go down head first but I thought I'd give it a try!

Almost to the bottom - I've already learned to control my descent by pushing out with my legs or putting my hands down... I've also found that if your shirt isn't pulled down all the way your belly can slow you down!

At the bottom safe and sound! Much to Mommy's shagrin I now prefer going down the slide head first unless I have a need for speed then I go down on my bottom!

I learn so many interesting and crazy things when Mommy leaves me with Daddy! In the end it was a great day because I spent the afternoon with my Daddy and Mommy got the chance to relax and pamper herself a little.

Peace, love & Mommy's playdate,
Bailey
