Peace, Love & My Sandbox

It has become a tradition that every morning after breakfast Mommy and I go and sit out on the back porch. Normally Mommy and I explore the backyard or Mommy watches as I terrorize the puppies. I've discovered all sorts of interesting things in the backyard - from dog poop to a football as well as the dogs water bowl and a plethra of dirt. The other day as Mommy and I were waiting for Hurricane Ike to decide his path, I stumbled upon a new discovery! Hidden beneath the green turtle which I normally climb on top of was SAND! This is incredible new because now not only can I climb over the turtle but I can lift his shell and climb inside to play with the sand! I highly suggest that if you don't have a sandbox you get on because its super fun to play in... just look at the pics!

" Look what I found Mommy!"

Building sand castles :)

"The sand slides through my hands much easier than the potting soil."

Throwing the sand at Mommy so she can share in my new discovery.

Doing the "I'm having fun in the sandbox" Dance!

Aside from the discovery of my sandbox I also started Kindermusik class this week before Hurricane Ike rolled in. Kindermusik was different and it was fun to have some special time for just me and my Daddy. We got to dance around and act silly plus it was fun to get to play with some kids my own age.
The last thing that I did this week was celebrate the 7th Anniversary of September 11th. I'm not entirely sure what happened on that date since I wasn't born yet but Mommy and Daddy explained that every September 11th we celebrate Patriots Day to honor those men and women who protect us - both overseas and within the United States. College Station had to downsize their event due to Hurricane Ike but we still took a moment to remember those in the Military as well as Police & Fire Service who had lost their lives while protecting ours. Although I didn't listen to all of the speeches I did get the chance to thank all of the fire fighters who work beside my Daddy everyday. It was fun to sit and eat dinner with them, especially since they let mouch off of their plates! Plus I had a great time running all over the playground with the other children. Sorry but Mommy didn't take any pictures at our Patriots Day celebration, maybe next year.

Peace, Love & Mommy's Little Helper

This morning I decided that my poopy diapers were stinking up my room and that they needed to be taken to the outdoor trash can. With a little help from Mommy (I wasn't tall enough to open the big trash can) I successfully ridded my room of the offending odors. Here's the proof!

"Where did they put the big trash can??"

"Oh, there is the trash can. Thanks for the directions Daddy!"

"Here I come Mommy, get the containment unit ready!"

Big bag of super stinky poopy for such a little one!

Wanted to add this picture just in case Mommy needed a reminder as to how cute my Daddy and I are! This one's for you Mommy - we love you!

Peace, Love & Swiffer

Seeing as today is Saturday and Daddy got stuck with mandatory overtime at the fire station, Mommy and I decided to do some cleaning. Better yet, Mommy decided to do some cleaning and I decided to help. Since our pup-pup Abby has been shedding constantly lately, Mommy has to swiffer alot and me being the great kid that I am decided that it looked easy enough for me to do! Plus even mommies need a little help now and then. So here are some pics to prove what an angel I am, even when no one else is around to see it :)

Look Mommy, I can swiffer!!

Coul you please move out of my way, I have important cleaning to do here!

Got to make sure you get around the legs of the baby gate, Abby fur loves to collect there.

Yes Abby, I'm swiffering up all of the hair that you lost this morning!

See Mommy I'm a big girl, I can swiffer!

Peace, love & swiffer,
Bailey

Peace, Love & Boxes

Many of y'all already know how much I love boxes and I mean boxes of all shapes and sizes. They are quite literally my favorite toy and most of my day is composed of coming up with unique ways to utilize my boxes to get into all sorts of trouble. One of my favorite uses of a large box is as a sled of sorts. All you need is a large box, a clean wooden floor and one beefcake of a Daddy Engine! Here are a couple pics from our latest foray into the extreme sport of hallway luge!

Faster Daddy Faster!!!

A perfect pose at the end of a perfect run! Can we do it again Daddy??

I figured that this pic would clear up any doubts as to which side of the family my creativity with everyday household objects came from. You would think that Daddy didn't have any other toys to play with! Notice my noggin in the bottom left of the pic... not only was he using the laundry basket as his hallway luge, he was teaching me how to do it. My Mommy is soooo proud!!

Peace, love and boxes,
Bailey

Peace, Love & My Little Red Wagon

So the last couple of days have been very busy and Mommy has become lackadaisical about getting me internet time. So for a quick update, Tuesday Mommy and I enjoyed the morning in the backyard and had a hawk sighting from our back porch! It was beautiful! Who says you can't enjoy nature in flat, hot, central Texas :) I promise we have more than fire ants!

Wednesday consisted of sleeping in and then going to visit our friends Heather and baby Logan. Mommy was real excited to hold a little baby again (he's only ten pounds) but she was a little sad to realize that I'm not exactly little anymore (I've been trying to convince her of this for weeks)! Anyways we had a great visit, I wasn't bothered at all by Mommy holding someone else and by the end I even got up close and shook baby Logan's hand and gave him a couple quick pats on the diaper. After my nap that afternoon Mommy, Daddy and I took my red wagon for a walk to the swings at the doggy park down the road. We witnessed a little fender bender on our way there which delayed us momentarily but ended up having a blast at the park. There were lots of cute doggies to look at and I really enjoyed the swings. I also proved that I was my Daddy's daughter by foregoing the stairs to the slide and just climbing up the slide itself! Here are some pics of me and my little red wagon, since Mommy didn't want to cart the camera all the way to the doggy park.

Getting ready to head out for the doggy park! Thanks Ms. D for the red wagon!

Off-roading it across the front lawn - guess its a good thing there are thick tires on my ride.

Before I close I wanted to share this pic of me and my Daddy just in case there were any doubts that he's mine!

Peace, love and my little red wagon,
Bailey

Peace, Love & Spaghetti

The other night Mommy and Daddy and I went and had dinner with Grandma and Granddaddy. Lucky for me Granddaddy had a taste for spaghetti which is one of my favorites (only partly because it's so messy). Anyways, Granddaddy caught this picture of me towards the end of our meal and over dinner this evening we all decided that everyone needed to see this side of me.
Peace, love and spaghetti,
Bailey
